Optimize Your Audio (Hear Footsteps!) – Call of Duty: WWII
This is Mack, for Pixel Enemy, here with a little video for wannabe sound whores. Footstep noise has always been a big part of Call of Duty, and many other shooters, as it helps locate players who haven’t yet come into view.
Wearing headphones and being able to track enemy sounds is huge when it comes to staying alive and getting kills that you otherwise might not get.
In Call of Duty: WWII footstep noise proved impossible for me to hear at first. The game pushes big explosions and an epic soundtrack.
When you’re looking to get competitive and deal out maximum damage, a lot of the sounds can be distracting.
And so I’d recommend taking a look at the audio settings menu and disabling everything there. The only thing you might want to switch on again is the “Battle Chatter,” as hearing your teammates call out enemy positions can be really useful.
However, I turned it off and I still hear callouts. So I’m assuming it just mutes all other non-useful sounds.
Also, get the Mountain Division unlocked as soon as possible, as ranking that up to 4 will let mute your own footsteps.
Combine all of that and you’ll have the best chance of hearing the enemy and preparing to kill them.
I hope you find this helpful!
